The number of
passengers includes the total of both those arriving and departing; people
arriving but continuing on to other airports are counted once. Figures are for
airports participating in the Airports Council International (ACI) Annual
Airport Traffic Statistics Collection. The ACI is a non-profit international
association of the world's airports, whose mission is to promote regulations
and agreements that enhance safety and efficiency in the air transport
community. Airport names include the three-letter code that uniquely identifies
each major airport in the world.
